Mike will personally be with you every step of the way.
He will work with you and your architect throughout the design and development phases, and then he will be at the job site overseeing the work of his highly skilled team of subcontractors. He isn’t only producing a well-crafted home, but building a well-crafted relationship.
Whether he is formulating clear and defined estimates or sourcing sustainable materials, Mike cares about the details that are important to you. He also keeps an eye on the big picture: Mike works tirelessly to ensure that project costs align with your budgets and that schedules are kept.
Mike Valentine, owner
For Mike, the passion for building started at a young age. He spent his teen years working as an apprentice carpenter and discovered his love for fine craftsmanship and the pride he felt in doing a job right.
Mike graduated from St. Mary’s College and then continued to refine his construction skills as an engineer for Keiwit Pacific Construction Company. Because Mike wanted to refocus on the craftsmanship and relationships formed during the building of custom homes, he left Keiwit to serve as foreman and superintendent for Ratts Construction in Los Altos. Armed with experience as a tradesman and a project manager, Mike started Valentine Construction in 2005 to fulfill his vision of how custom homes should be built.
